Ways to join
Volunteer Psychologists
Offer pro bono one-on-one or group sessions. You’ll need to be a practising, qualified professional with a current registration — we’ll ask for your council and registration number.
Research & Legal Team
Support the litigation and policy work: legal research, paralegal support, RTI drafting, data analysis, documentation. Law students welcome.
Interns
Content, design, outreach, social media, and data/research, in three-month cycles. Genuine work, genuine responsibility.
Regional Coordinators
Help extend the psychologist database and helpline reach in specific states and languages. Especially valuable if you speak a language we don’t yet cover.
Volunteers (general)
Events, gallery documentation, translation, fundraising. If you have a few hours and want to be useful, we’ll find you something real to do.
Something else?
If you have a skill you think we could use and it isn’t on this list, tell us in the form. We are a small organisation and we are not precious about job titles.
What to expect if you apply
We’d rather be honest about this than have you wondering.
- Everyone here, including our psychologists, works pro bono alongside other jobs. These are unpaid volunteer roles unless a listing says otherwise.
- We read every application, but we’re volunteers too — replies can take time.
- For clinical roles we will verify your registration before assigning you any sessions. This protects the people who come to us.
- Volunteers and interns working with sensitive personal information will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement.
