You Don’t Have to Carry This Alone

Baatcheet connects people across India to free one-on-one support, anonymous group sessions, verified government resources, and a growing movement for mental health rights — in your language, at no cost.

Listen

Free one-on-one sessions with volunteer psychologists, for anyone who needs to be heard.

Connect

Anonymous group circles where no one has to explain themselves twice.

Change

Litigation, policy work, and advocacy so mental health is treated as a right, not a privilege.

How we can help

Everything here is free. You don’t need a diagnosis, a referral, or a reason.

Why this work exists

Most people in India who need mental health treatment never receive any. Not because help doesn’t exist, but because it is unaffordable, unavailable in their language, or too stigmatised to ask for.

India has roughly 0.75 psychiatrists per 1,00,000 people. The WHO recommends around three. That gap is not an accident, and it isn’t permanent either.

Understand what you’re going through

Plain-language guides to anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, burnout and more — including what each condition is not.

Our litigation

We’re pursuing High Court litigation to make mental health support an enforceable right.

We need more hands

We receive far more requests for support than we have therapist-hours to meet. If you’re a psychologist, a law student, a translator, or simply someone with time — you can change that number.

Stay in the loop

Updates on our litigation, new group circles, helpline resources, and ways to get involved. No spam, just what matters.

Optional — only so we can address you properly.
What are you interested in? Optional. It just helps us not send you things you don't want.

About us

We’re a volunteer-run organisation. Our psychologists, researchers and coordinators all do this alongside their regular work.
